Instruction
Edensgate Farm offers both instruction and owner inclusive training.
Horsemanship
Ground lessons in horsemanship include instruction on “herd dynamics”, horse “psychology”, horse communication, body language, assertiveness, safe horse handling and much more. The emphasis is always on trying to see things from the horse’s perspective.
Riding instruction
Beginning lessons aim at helping the rider find a balanced, secure seat and learning how to communicate clearly to the horse through the use of body language.
All lessons are carried out in a positive, supportive learning environment and are individualized to meet the needs of the student.
School horses are available for lessons.
Edensgate Farm also offers horses for half or full lease with the option of weekly lessons.
Prices
Lessons / Instruction: $40 per hour onsite; $45 per hour offsite. Multi-lesson packages available.
Leases: half – $250 per month; includes 4 lessons / full – $350 per month; includes 4 lessons
Cancellation policy
Lesson cancellation must be made at least 24 hours in advance.
Training
In Harmony Horsemanship, based at Edensgate Farm, offers owner-inclusive training.
Enrollment in a training program requires that the owner participates in a least one training session per week with their horse.
These sessions will emphasize communication between the horse owner and their horse and how to establish a safe and successful partnership. Each training program is aimed at meeting the specific needs of the horse and horse owner.
Training packages are available on or off-site.
Price
3 sessions per week, one including horse owner -$360 per month (not inclusive of boarding).
